INFINZ Awards – Emerging Leader Winner 2021

James Palmer CEO wins INFINZ emerging leader award.

The INFINZ awards are to the New Zealand Finance sector what the Academy Awards are to Hollywood. It is with great pleasure that we acknowledge the award for Emerging Leader was presented by the sponsor University of Auckland Business School to James Palmer this week.

In receiving the award, James spoke about following his family’s leadership of kindness and service. He said, ”A leader is only as good as the team they serve. To my colleagues, Board and Chair, this award belongs to you as much as to me. Your passion and commitment to making finance a force for good is an inspiration.

There was a big crowd present and the values-based nature of this particular enterprise and winner was very warmly received. James went on to say, “Our focus is on mainstreaming impact investment. Aotearoa needs our sector more than ever to invest capital to combat our housing, social and environmental challenges. Our ability to collaborate and invest for profits and impact will define our sector in the decade to come. We look forward to working with you all to achieve the fairer and more sustainable future our people and country deserves.”
